BROOK TROUT are opportunistic feeders. Their diet is comprised of subsurface macro-invertebrates, but they will also target adult aquatic insects, terrestrial insects, other fish, and even small amphibians when presented. Undetected, a small green enameled Leopard Frog with mimicking camouflage, hides among the circuit board foliage (bottom left) and a be-jeweled Damsel Fly averts detection on Cedar branch ( top right).
Trout bodies fashioned from RECLAIMED motherboard with exposed copper raceways. Gills are copper armatures. from antique pin-ball machines. . Fish mouths are gilded in 23K gold leaf. Glass eye cabochons are set in Conduit hardware. Leaf foliages are cut from gaming circuit boards. Subway tiles and river stone background with inlayed clam shells from my dinner table. Leopard frog and damsel fly are costume jewelry found a yard sale. The branches are dead limbs from my back yard. All framed in red oak. Wall mounted, measuring 20" tall x 45" wide x 4" depth.
